THE 451 INITIATIVE

And now for something completely different. Tetbury Town Councils Heritage and Regeneration committee are supporting the Tetbury 451 Comic Book Initiative with an Art Centre dedicated to the display of the original comic book art from the 1960s to now. There will also be rare and first edition comics that will be on an alternated display. Following on from the highly successful workshops that have been held in Tetbury and other locations, there will be workshops and a reading area for comics and graphic novels.

The 451Initiative has many facets. The free centre/museum will be a home to display and exhibit original art and comics from our past our childhood heritage. There will also be residential Workshops. Outreach/touring workshops for Schools Libraries and selected bookshop. Comic Convention with Cosplay later this year (summer/autumn 2019)The 451 graphic novel comic book awards. Production of a graphic novel and reviews of graphic novels, comics, and their creators.

So if you’re a comic book/graphic novel Artist, Writer or even a business owner, please get in contact, as our aim is to promote this Artform as an Artform and everyone involved in this medium. We will be looking for donations of old comics, graphic novels or artwork anything comic book related.
